About GitaVaani

Mission

GitaVaani's mission is to make the Bhagavad Gita accessible to everyone, regardless of language. The Gita's 701 verses contain timeless wisdom on duty, purpose, and inner peace — and we believe this wisdom should be available in every Indian language and beyond.

What We Offer

  • 701 verses across 18 chapters with original Sanskrit text and transliteration
  • 10+ languages — English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu
  • Audio for every verse in multiple languages with 37+ AI voices
  • Commentaries from traditional scholars
  • Word-by-word meanings for Sanskrit study
  • Glossary of key terms and concepts

How It Works

GitaVaani uses a three-stage content pipeline:

  1. AI Synthesis — Multiple scholarly English translations are synthesized into a single, clear English translation using AI, preserving the meaning and spirit of the original.
  2. Multi-Language Translation — The English synthesis is translated into 9 Indian languages using Sarvam AI's translation technology.
  3. Text-to-Speech — Every translation is converted to natural-sounding audio using Sarvam's Bulbul TTS engine, supporting 37+ voices across languages.
