Yoga through Understanding the Three Modes of Material Nature

यदा सत्त्वे प्रवृद्धे तु प्रलयं याति देहभृत्।तदोत्तमविदां लोकानमलान्प्रतिपद्यते
yadā sattve pravṛiddhe tu pralayaṁ yāti deha-bhṛit tadottama-vidāṁ lokān amalān pratipadyate

Word Meanings

yadā sattve pravṛiddhe tu pralayam yāti deha-bhṛit tadā uttama-vidām lokān amalān pratipadyate

Translation

When one dies at a time when sattva predominates, one attains the pure, stainless worlds of those who know the Highest.

Commentary

यदा when? सत्त्वे in Sattva? प्रवृद्धे having become predominant? तु verily? प्रलयम् death? याति meets? देहभृत् the embodied one? तदा then? उत्तमविदाम् of the knowers of the Highest? लोकान् to the worlds? अमलान् of the spotless? प्रतिपद्यते (he) attains.Commentary Lokan Amalan Sptless worlds Brahmaloka and the like where Rajas and Tamas never predominate.The Highest Deities such as Hiranyagarbha.
