श्री भगवानुवाच इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे। ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्
śhrī bhagavān uvācha idaṁ tu te guhyatamaṁ pravakṣhyāmyanasūyave jñānaṁ vijñāna-sahitaṁ yaj jñātvā mokṣhyase ’śhubhāt
The Supreme Lord said: To you who are free from envy, I shall now reveal this most profound secret — knowledge united with direct realization — knowing which, you shall be freed from the miseries of worldly existence.

Those who know the three Vedas, who drink the Soma juice and are purified of sin, worship Me through sacrifices and seek passage to heaven; reaching the sacred realm of Indra, they enjoy the divine pleasures of the gods in heaven.

Having enjoyed the vast realm of heaven, they return to the mortal world when their merit is exhausted. Thus, those who follow the Vedic rituals, driven by desire for enjoyment, attain only the cycle of coming and going.

kṣhipraṁ bhavati dharmātmā śhaśhvach-chhāntiṁ nigachchhati kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśhyati
Swiftly he becomes righteous and attains everlasting peace. O son of Kunti, know this for certain: my devotee never perishes.

For those who take refuge in Me, O Arjuna, even those of lowly birth—women, merchants, and laborers—they too attain the supreme destination.

Fix your mind on Me, be My devotee, worship Me, and bow down to Me. Thus disciplining yourself and wholly devoted to Me as your supreme goal, you shall surely come to Me.
